Presentation Opportunities

MINEX Kazakhstan offers excellent opportunities for the presentation of mining market reports, changes to legislation, and case studies of the implementation of technical and investment project; and for organising technical masterclasses, and even, attracting the participation of the audience in the discussion of the challenges and changes facing the mining sector of Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia.

Speaker applications for the Forum, the Mining Goes Digital conference and at the MineInvest, MineDigital and MineTech competitions must be submitted before 28 February 2020.

Registration deadline: Speaker applications for the Forum, the Mining Goes Digital conference and at the MineInvest, MineDigital and MineTech competitions must be submitted before 28 February.

Payment: The fees can be paid by debit or credit card (via Stripe or PayPal) or Bank Transfer.

Discounts: Pay before 31 January to receive 10% discount (excluding Gala Dinner)

Admission: Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to delegates or exhibitors who have failed to pay the fee prior to the Forum.

Cancellation: Speaker substitution can be made at any time.  Speaker cancellations submitted in writing to admin@minexforum.com before 13 March 2020 will be subject to 10% administration fee. No refunds will be made after 13 March 2020. At the discretion of the Forum organisers a credit note can be issued in case of cancellation received after 13 March 2020.

Presentation at the Mining Goes Digital conference

What’s included

  • Access to event mobile application and meeting scheduling function;

Presentation at the Competitions
 
(MineInvest, MineTech or MineDigital)

Please note  

  • Participants who wish to present at the MineInvest, MineDigital and MineTech competitions must submit speaker form before 28th February 2019;
  • Presentation topics are determined by the speaker and should be agreed in advance with the program committee;
  • All speakers must register and pay delegate fee, unless they represent sponsor or exhibitor;
  • If you only wish to take part in the competition and do not plan to participate in the rest of the forum program, $ 150 USD fee is payable to cover administrative expenses.

  • A 10-minute presentation slot in one of the competition sessions;
  • Admission to the Competition session only. Separate ticket must be purchased to gain admission to the Forum sessions and Networking events;
  • Publication of speaker’s photo and short profile published on the forum website, catalogue and event mobile application;
  • Competition presenter diploma;
  • Introduction to the competition jury panel;
  • Dissemination of the presentation slides and video recording in the cloud version of the post-event report and event mobile application.

Speaker registration deadlines and procedure

  • Speaker applications for the Forum, the Mining Goes Digital conference and at the MineInvest, MineDigital and MineTech competitions must be submitted before 28 February.
  • The decision to include presentations in the agenda will be sent by email within 5 working days after receiving the application.
  • Speakers who have received confirmation of the inclusion of the proposed presentation  are required to pay the registration fee according to the invoice terms (speakers presenting on behalf of sponsors, exhibitors and partners of the forum do not have to pay admission).
  • Speakers are expected to provide the organisers about all changes by writing to: kz@minexforum.com. In case of cancellation, speakers are expected to offer substitute candidate.

Requirements for the Preparation and Submission of Presentation Materials

The working languages of the forum are Russian and English. When preparing speeches and presentation slides, speakers can use either one or both languages. During the forum, only one presentation file can be presented on the screens. For the simultaneous use of two languages in the presentation, speakers can divide the slides into two parts, presenting the content of each slide in Russian and English.

Dates to remember

No later than 28 February 2020, the speaker (or his / her assistant) are required  to complete speaker form and provide the following information: speaker’s photo, biography (up to 150 words), title of the presentation, brief summary of the presentation (up to 200 words).

No later than 16 March, email to slides@minexforum.com presentation slides for publishing in the Mobile app. In the subject please indicate “Slides for MINEX Kazakhstan 2020 mobile app”. Slides must be sent in 4:3 standard slide size in PPT, PPTX or PDF. If the file size exceeds your allowed email parameters, speakers can send it via a service such as www.dropbox.com or OneDrive, or by sending a link to the file to the following address: slides@minexforum.com

No later than 20 March, email to slides@minexforum.com for projection on the screen. In the subject please indicate “Slides for MINEX Kazakhstan 2020 screen presentation”.

Presentation equipment and services:

 

  • Russian-English simultaneous translation will be provided;
  • Equipment provided: Projector, Screen, Laptop, Clicker/Presenter, Lectern, Microphones, Audio System, Translation headsets.
  • Payment for participation in the forum is not required if the speaker represents the sponsor or exhibitor (as part of agreed package).
  • The opportunity to participate in the forum without paying registration fee is provided in exceptional cases by a joint decision taken by the organisational and technical committees of the forum.
  • Speakers are expected to pay for their travel, accommodation expenses and cover costs of preparation of the presentation.
